Medical oversight at our Key West facility.
Jerry Jackson, MD studied microbiology and neurochemistry at the University of Florida before attending medical school at the University of Sint Eustatius. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Mercer in Macon, Georgia, and an Infectious Disease fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board certified in both specialties.
He came to Key West to work with the Monroe County Health Department, where he spent 13 years caring for patients with HIV, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases. He also worked as a hospitalist at Lower Keys Medical Center.
Today, he maintains a private practice in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease and supervises hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Hyperbaric Healing Solutions. His interest in hyperbaric medicine began during medical school and grew alongside his work with complex wounds and infections.
Outside of medicine, Jerry Jackson, MD is the proud dog father of four Golden Retrievers. He enjoys continuing medical education and keeping current with medical literature.
